I created a new e-mail account tonight and sent two e-mails to the high school members and parents. There is no guarantee that I got everyone's address imported to the new account. I am learning the new features as I go. Please check your e-mail box and update the Tri-State e-mail to:
You can delete the old address. I think it is gone forever.
I will continue working on the e-mail addresses to make sure I have everyone back in my address book. I will try to send a test e-mail to the Wrangler members in a few days.

I still do not have e-mail access this morning but I am using a different phone to wait on hold so the office line is available.
As of this morning, the Vernon rodeos are still on go for this weekend. It is your choice to attend. The deadline to draw out is 10am this morning. You only lose your office charges. After 10am, your fees are included in the payoff unless you have a doctor release or vet release (only in barrels and poles.)
If you know you are not going to travel this weekend and want to draw out, you MUST call the office by 10am. Remember, I cannot access my e-mail. If you do not speak to me directly, you are not drawn out.
I will post the updated entries on the callbacks page shortly. That link is to the left under Announcements.

I am having some e-issues today that prevent me from accessing my e-mail. This issue also caused me to be on the phone the entire morning - with no results. So not only can you not reach me by e-mail, but you probably got a busy signal if you tried to call the office.
I will try not to tie up the phone line again until later tonight. Keep your fingers crossed that I can get this fixed quickly and for the sake of the service technicians, pray that I don't run out of brownies.

Spring rotations are finally ready. Follow this link to the Schedule page to see when you will compete this weekend.
I know some of you are concerned about the weather forecast for this weekend. IF - and that is a big IF - anything changes regarding the rodeos in Vernon, that decision will not be made until Thursday night.

The ineligible chart is finally starting to shrink! Yea! Just a few days left to get your Vernon entries in on time. I will get the team roping pairs posted starting tomorrow so you can see if anyone has an available run left.
I've been battling a sinus infection all week. This is not the time of year to be getting sick with everything about to start up again. I hope all of you have been taking care of yourselves. Everyone seems to go non-stop in the spring time because there is so much going on and it feels so good to get outside again. Try to get as much rest as you can. It will rejuvenate your body and help you keep going. I am a big fan of sleep. If it comes down to a choice, I will take sleep over food 90% of the time.
I plan to work on the finals information pages this weekend. Right now, all of the information is from last year. A lot of it will remain the same if you want an idea of what to expect before I get everything updated.

The ineligible chart has been updated to include missing semester grades. Today is the last day to receive artwork for program ads. I will be starting on the Tri-State Finals and Wrangler Region 1 Finals programs next week. Any ads missing artwork will be considered donations.
I am leaving tomorrow for the rest of the week for a pro rodeo in Belton. I hear the sun won't be shining there either. This weather should make us all appreciate the arrival of spring a little more than usual. Hopefully the weather will be nice to us and we will avoid any hassles on rodeo weekends.
Entries for Vernon open next Monday. If you at least wait until Saturday to mail them in, then I won't come home to a big stack of early entries. Mailing them in early doesn't help you get your rotation request any more than mailing them in on time. It just makes my post office work harder to keep up with my mail while I am gone.
I will have the office phone forwarded but my cell phone doesn't always work when I am inside the coliseum. Make sure you provide a phone number for me if you leave a message.
Good luck getting your horses legged up. Try to stay warm and dry!

** Cuttings Cancelled **
The two approved cutting events scheduled this weekend through Palo Duro Cutting Horse Association have been cancelled. ONE of them will be rescheduled for March 6th. This is also the day of the Canyon Club's rodeo at the Arena of Life in Amarillo.
I was happy to see a few new names on the judges sheets from the January events. I hope we continue to get more members interested in the cutting.
The remaining approved cuttings for this year will be:
Saturday March 6th
Sunday March 7th
Both of these will be held at the EE Arena in Amarillo and are hosted by Palo Duro Cutting Horse Association.
