NEW ITEMS FOR 2009-2010
-
Only new members will receive rulebooks this
year. The Tri-State supplement has been updated and linked
below on the left under "Rulebook 2."
-
Report cards will be due when you join and
following every six or nine week grading period - whichever
applies to your school district.
-
To be eligible for consideration of a
Tri-State High School Rodeo Association Memorial Scholarship,
seniors will be required to sell a minimum of 200 50/50 tickets
EACH semester.
-
Entry fees have increased to the following
amounts:
-
$39 in bareback, saddle bronc and bull
riding
-
$34 in each calf roping event and steer
wrestling
-
$32 in barrels, poles and goat tying
-
$28 in team roping
-
the $9 office charge and $7 finals charge
remain the same
-
Both team roping runs will now count for the
all around standings.

COIN TOSS
FUNDRAISER
Entry fee - $5 per person (1 ticket)
Payoff – ½ goes to the winner and ½
will be split between the host club and Tri-State
Participation is open to all
members, family, friends and rodeo spectators.
Tickets must be purchased by the
start of the bull riding in the morning performance.
-
All ticket
holders need to gather near the designated entry gate during the
morning performance bull riding. Once the arena is cleared,
everyone with a ticket will be allowed in the arena.
-
All players
must pick “heads” or “tails” and split up the group to show
their choice. “Heads” on one side and “tails” on the other.
The announcer will flip a coin and everyone who DID NOT pick the
correct answer must exit the arena.
-
BUY BACK – If
you lose the toss, you have the option to buy back into the
game. The entry fee increases $5 for each round of play – ex.
$10 for round 2, $15 for round 3, $20 for round 4, etc. You
must buy back before you leave the arena. You cannot sit out a
few rounds and then buy back in at the end of the game.
-
Those
remaining pick a side for the next toss. The announcer will
flip the coin again. Everyone who DID NOT pick the correct side
must exit the arena unless they buy back.
-
This
continues until there is one winner.
-
This is a
quick game. Only 5 – 10 minutes if everyone cooperates and
exits the arena quickly when they are out of the game.
Payoff scenario:
100 players @ $5 each = $500
$250 will go to the winner
$125 will go to the host club
$125 will go to Tri-State
I’m sure there
will be additions to this list, but for now:
- No
climbing over the fence.
- No horses
in the arena.
- Move
quickly so we don’t cut into the church service too much.
