Tri-State High School Rodeo Association
Prospective High School Rodeo Member:
Thank you for your inquiry of high school rodeo in the Texas Panhandle. Our area covers the Texas Panhandle, but we also have members from Eastern New Mexico, Southeastern Colorado, Southwestern Kansas, the Oklahoma Panhandle and Western Oklahoma.
One thing that makes our area unique is that we are home to Tri-State High School Rodeo Association and also Region 1 of the Texas High School Rodeo Association. All of our rodeos are co-approved for both associations. It is your choice which association you join – many current members compete for both.
Tri-State High School Rodeo has a Year End Finals Top 15 per event advance to finals in May. Buckles and saddles are awarded to Year End Champions.
The Tri-State High School Rodeo Association has a Memorial Scholarship Fund. This fund awarded $11,000 in Scholarships in 2017.
Members who compete in both associations pay two separate entry fees for each rodeo. In turn, there are two separate payoffs and two separate point totals.
All paperwork needs to be returned to the Tri-State / Region 1 office so you may return everything in one envelope but please use separate checks for each association.
Please feel free to call the office if you have any questions. Membership applications are due two weeks PRIOR to the first rodeo you wish to enter. This is BEFORE the entries open.
